Parish Council Elections – May 2023

The Parish Council Elections are due to take place on 4th May 2023, several members of the current parish council have decided not to stand to election.

Five reasons to join the Parish Council 

First Level of democracy protecting, maintaining and caring for the parish for us and future generations

Have your say for the village, your opinion matters – represent other resident

  • 7 Councillors
  • Meet on the 4th Thursday of every other month
  • Additional meetings as required

Make financial decisions the Parish Council is funded by your County Tax collected by Chichester District Council – help make spending decisions

Look after the Parish’s property contribute in the decision process of maintaining the village assets; Hunston Village Hall, bus shelters, the playing field, including the children’s playground and the sports area and other items round the village

Represent the Parish 

  • Comment on planning applications
  • Inform the Neighbourhood Plan process
  • Respond to important consultations
  • Consult local residents on local matters
  • Communicate decisions to the parish
