A27 Chichester Bypass Improvements Consultation Response – 22/09/2016

Hunston Parish Council has held several meetings to review the material provided, including an opportunity for local residents to express their views.

The Parish Council feels that none of the options can effectively fulfil the aims of the scheme.  The Parish Council urges Highways England to undertake further investigations including provision for a northern route.  The Parish Council feels that a northern route could be set in cuttings to reduce the impact on the local environment, it would provide considerably less disruption for both local and through traffic during construction and would not unduly impact those residents living south of the A27 for whom all of the offered options would be detrimental.
